Telluride Meadow Garden
Located on the Telluride Valley’s sunny south facing hillside, the property is comprised of flowing meadows, quaking aspen and panoramic views. The landscape design builds off the existing meadow condition at the site, with a mix of high-alpine grasses, wildflowers such as asters and scarlet gilia, as well as aspens, currants and serviceberry.
Blending native grasses found on site to create a lush understory of supportive pollinator plantings. The landscape concept for the Galena Residence celebrates the existing native meadow surrounding the site, and allows the structures to float within this hillside meadow of flowing native grasses and wildflowers. The green roof at this Telluride residence focuses on blending native perennials and lush grasses to create an understory of jewel tones and framing pollinator plantings with native shrubs to showcase supportive perennials.
