Kaela Horton
Design and Marketing Assistant
With an interest in both the creative pursuits and the realm of science, Kaela stumbled across the field of landscape architecture. Kaela recently graduated from CU Boulder’s Environmental Design program where she gained an interdisciplinary understanding of sustainable design. Her background in creative uses of technology and design has inspired her to find solutions that blend scientific research with visual art. Interested in the intersection of community engagement and design, with experience in outreach and environmental justice, Kaela hopes to leave spaces better than how she found them. Originally from New York, she came to Colorado to study Environmental Design at CU Boulder. She has also worked in waste management at CU’s Environmental Center. When not practicing sustainability via resilient design, renewables and recyclables, she can be found at any of Denver’s great concert venues or working on a new crochet project. An avid baker and home chef, she loves hosting big groups of friends.
